SLU GUESTS TO LECTURE ON THE "EURO"
HAMMOND -- Guest speakers will discuss the "Euro," Europe's new currency, at
Southeastern Louisiana University on Wednesday, March 20.
The lectures, which are free and open to Southeastern students and the public, are
sponsored by Southeastern's Department of History and Political Science and Judge James E.
Kuhn of the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal.
The lectures will begin at 9:30 a.m. in room 133 of the Southeastern University Center.
Eric Fry, Marshall Plan Endowed Chair at the University of New Orleans, will speak on
"The Euro: the Political and Economic Prospects of Europe's New Currency." Austrian Trade
Commissioner Gudrun Hager will also speak on "Europhoria and New Challenges: the Euro as a
Common Currency."
