SOUTHEASTERN EXHIBITS FEATURE STUDENTS, FACULTY
HAMMOND – Exhibits at Southeastern
Louisiana University will feature the works of student and faculty artists.
The Contemporary Art Gallery
in East Stadium will host two exhibits from Nov. 17-Dec. 5. The exhibits
will open with a reception on Nov. 17 from 5-7 p.m.
The Department of Visual
Arts Fall Senior Exhibition will showcase the artwork of graduating seniors,
including sculpture, painting, drawing, printmaking digital art and graphic
design.
The gallery will also feature
the art work of two Department of Visual Art faculty members, Sue O'Donnell
and Michelle Dussault, who joined the faculty this fall. O'Donnel, who
teaches in Southeastern's art foundation program, is a book artist whose
one of a kind artist books deal with memory. Dussault, who teaches drawing,
will show a series of paintings.
Sims Memorial Library will
host “Social Wars,” an exhibit by members of the Southeastern Visual Arts
Society. On display from Nov. 10-Dec. 5, the show will present artwork
in a wide range of media illustrating current social/political issues.
