SLU INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO MEET OCT. 15
HAMMOND -- Southeastern Louisiana University's Industrial Technology Department
Advisory Committee has scheduled its semi-annual Advisory Committee meeting from 10 a.m.-
noon Oct. 15 at the Southeastern Alumni Center.
Approximately 25 south Louisiana companies are represented on the panel, which
provides input into program design and job placement for Southeastern technology graduates.
The panel gets together twice a year to learn about new programs and facilities, department
needs, professorship activities, and the status of long term planning.
At this meeting, committee members will hear about the department's three new
computerized labs, two newly-renovated and technology-enriched labs and distance learning
facilities. They also will hear about new and proposed programs, including three added
concentrations, a master's degree and certification proposals in four areas of concentration.
Mr. John Searles, Southeastern Tech Prep Office, is the meeting coordinator and contact
person. Area businesses who would be willing to participate as a member of this advisory group
are encouraged to contact him at 549-2871.
