SOUTHEASTERN DANCERS PRESENT SPRING CONCERTS
HAMMOND -- Southeastern dancers will present spring concerts at 7:30 p.m. April 13
and 14 in Vonnie Borden Theatre.
Danceworks' April 13 spring concert, "Moving Out Loud," will feature seven student
choreographers, said dance program director Martie Fellom.
On April 14, a program titled "Open" will be performed by members of the IZZY
Performance Art and Dance Company. The artistic director and choreographer of the company is
Southeastern dance faculty member Dana Brewer-Plazinic. "The program will last about an hour
and will include comical as well as serious pieces that will hopefully invite the audience
to be 'open' to discovery," Brewer-Plazinic said.
IZZY dancers are Laura Reed of Belle Chasse, Carolyn Fulton of Reserve, Grace Latino
of Metairie, Jonathan McGee of Ponchatoula, Debbie Rodriguez of Harvey and Jennifer
Molero of Chalmette.
The program will also feature three guest dancers, Ellen Hauk of Abita Springs, Suzanne
Stack of Philadelphia, Miss., and Jessica Martin of Houma.
Tickets for both concerts can be purchased at the door one hour before the show.
General admission is $5, $3 for senior citizens and Southeastern faculty, staff and students. For
additional information, call 549-2133. The concerts are sponsored by Southeastern's Kinesiology
and Health Studies Department.
