SOUTHEASTERN JAZZ ENSEMBLE PRESENTS THE CLASSICS
     HAMMOND     Southeastern Louisiana University's Jazz Ensemble will perform
Tuesday, March 23, in the Pottle Music Auditorium. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m., and
admission is free.                       
     The ensemble will perform classic arrangements originally played in the 1950's by the
Stan Kenton Orchestra according to Dr. Willis Delony, conductor for the ensemble. 
     The following students will be featured soloists:  Lee Hicks, saxophone; Dominick
Messina, trumpet; Michael Broussard, saxophone; Maarten Vissers, piano; Thomas Timphony,
bass; Daniel Caro, percussion and Don Woods, trumpet.
     A piece written by Southeastern music student, Dominick Messina will also be performed
by a quintet that will include Hicks, Messina, Vissers, Timphony and Caro.
