KAPPA DELTA PI HONOR SOCIETY INDUCTS 43 STUDENTS
HAMMOND, LA -- Michael Wolfe, executive director of the Kappa Delta Pi
International Honor Society in Education, delivered the keynote address at the installation
ceremonies of Southeastern Louisiana University's Zeta Kappa Chapter in February.
Forty-three graduate and undergraduate students were initiated during the ceremony and
officers were installed. Elizabeth Vaughn-Neely, a Southeastern education faculty member and
one of the advisors to the organization was presented the Outstanding Educator Award.The
outstanding educator award is presented to an individual who exemplifies high professional,
intellectual and personal standards int he field of educaiton and is recognized for dedication to
students and to the field of education. Southeastern's Zeta Kappa chapter of Kappa Delta Pi is
celebrating its fiftieth anniversary this year.
New members are: Gail Gautreaux Blouin, Rebecca Burton, Lara Calloway, Alicia Dyer,
Daniel Edwards, Shannon Evans, April Fraychineaud, Betty Gainey, Shannon Hougland,
Rebecca Hull, Carla Kavanaugh, Brandi Lambert, Amy Levron, Kristine Mina, Rebecca Parks,
Susan Pritchard, Marie Stewart, Theresa Wise, Belinda Austin Avant, Deborah Casselberry,
Melanie Denison, Shannon d'Hemecourt, Barbara Forshag, Toni Frierson, Terrance Hart, Jay
Jameson, Laura Knipe, Roxanne Oustalet Lagarde, Tiffany Landry, Keryn LaPierre, Jennifer
Myers Lind, Laura Ethridge Litolff, Dana McLin, Tiffany Mooney, Stephanie Kepner Nugent,
Paulette Perrin, JeAnne Plunkett, Cindy Hebert Rathke, Sandra Selders, Sandra Swartz, Carolyn
Thomas, Andrea Toups and Richard Tyler.
Newly installed officers of the Zeta Kappa chapter are Ella Breakbill of Hammond,
president, Melissa Hunt of Port Allen, president-elect, Jennifer Havard of Baton Rouge, vice-
president, Nicole Beaugh of Mandeville, treasurer, Shawntel Meaux of Pine Grove, secretary and
Tiffany Landry of Kenner, graduate division president. Education faculty members Celina
Echols, Rita Richardson and Elizabeth Vaughn-Neely are the organization's counselors.
