SLU'S LEGGWORKS TO HOLD AUDITIONS AUG. 27 & 28
     HAMMOND   Southeastern Louisiana University's Department of Music and Dramatic
Arts will hold fall auditions for a November 15 performance by Leggworks Jazz Dance
Company from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. August 27 and 28 in the Kinesiology and Health Studies
Building on campus.
     Leggworks, now in its third year, gives students interested in the tap and jazz dance forms
the opportunity to perform and choreograph. Auditions are open to students attending
Southeastern and dancers in the community over the age of 15 who range from intermediate to
advanced dance.
     According to Leggworks Artistic Director Dana Brewer-Plazinic, Southeastern students
participating in the concert can receive one hour credit by registering for one of four dance
ensemble classes: DNC 101, 102, 201, or 202.
     Choreographers are needed and should bring a short combination to teach auditioners. 
Those auditioning are encouraged to wear appropriate dancewear and jazz shoes.
