SLU ALUMNI ASSOCIATION PLANS "THANK YOU PARTY" FOR LEGISLATORS
     HAMMOND -- The Southeastern Louisiana University Alumni Association will host a
party on March 29 to thank area legislators for supporting the university and community.
     The "thank you party" is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the Alumni Center, 500 West
University Ave. The public is invited to the free event, said Kathy Pittman, director of Alumni
Relations.
     "The Florida Parishes legislative delegation is one of the more unified, focused
delegations in the Legislature," said Southeastern President Sally Clausen. "The delegations
efforts in recent years on behalf of Southeastern and the community have helped transform our
campus, infusing more than $70 million in construction and renovation projects, including the
renovation of the Columbia Theatre in downtown Hammond. We invited everyone in the
community to join us in saying thanks for a job well done."
