CLAUSEN RECEIVES CHECK FOR $120,000 FOR ENDOWED PROFESSORSHIPS

faculty/staff convocation. Dr. Clausen accepted a $120,000 matching check from the Louisiana
Board of Regents Support Fund for three new endowed professorships. The initial private
contribution of $180,000 was given by Ms. Leola R. Purcell.  The three new endowed
professorships are the B.C. Purcell Endowed Professorship in Kinesiology and Health Studies,
Leola R. Purcell Endowed Professorship in English, and Lola Sue Purcell Smith Endowed
Professorship in Psychology.
