CUTLINE ... AREA EDUCATORS DISCUSS TEACHER PREPARATION REFORMS – Southeastern Louisiana University President Randy Moffett welcomes representatives from the school districts of Tangipahoa and Livingston parishes who met recently at the university to discuss teacher preparation reforms. The meeting was in follow-up to a visit made in May to the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto to observe how the university teacher preparation program there collaborates with the PK-12 schools in their district. The group discussed how elements of the Ontario program could be implemented in the region with Southeastern working in partnership with local school districts. |
