HAMMOND -- North shore alumni and friends of Southeastern Louisiana University are invited to a reception honoring the university’s “first family” on August 29 in Slidell.
      The reception will give St. Tammany Parish residents the opportunity to meet Southeastern President Randy Moffett and his wife, Barbara, director of the university’s School of Nursing.
      The reception, hosted by the East St. Tammany Alumni chapter, is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the home of State Representative A. G. and Linda Crowe, 201 Crowe’s Landing, in Slidell.
      Joining the Moffetts at the event will be a trio of recently-named coaches, Southeastern head football coach Hal Mumme, defensive coordinator Woody Widenhofer and head baseball coach Dan Canevari.
