NURSING PROGRAM OFFERS CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT
HAMMOND -- Registered nurses can get continuing education contact hours at a
professional development program,"Brain Development and School Readiness," sponsored by
Southeastern Louisiana University's School of Nursing.
The program is scheduled for 6:30-8 p.m., Sept. 20, in the Cate Teacher Education Center
Kiva. It will be conducted by Dr. Stewart T. Gordon, assistant professor and chief of pediatrics at
the Louisiana State University Medical Center/Earl K. Long Memorial Center, and Dr. Alyson P.
McCain, a clinical psychologist in private practice.
The program is free for interested Southeastern faculty, students and the general public,
but a $10 administrative fee is required for continuing education credit.
Those interested in attending should call Marie Billings at 504-549-5090 or email
mbillings@selu.edu by Sept. 15 to register and to sign up for contact hours.
