LEARN A NEW SKILL WITH SLU'S NON-CREDIT COURSES
     HAMMOND -- "Effective Parenting," "People Skills At Work" and "Lifelong Financial
Security" are just some of the non-credit courses available this spring at Southeastern Louisiana
University.  
     In addition to popular courses such as water aerobics, the LSAT and notarial reviews, and
beginning guitar, Southeastern's division of Continuing Education is offering several new
courses this spring. 
     Potential students can improve their memory with the "Basic Power Memory Workshop"
or improve their bodies with a Pilates exercise and conditioning relaxation class. Amateurs can
learn the basics of drawing, photography, motorcycle operation or boating skills. Computer buffs
can learn about programs such as Windows95, Microsoft Word or Excel 97, Powerpoint and
even web page design. 
     In addition the American Red Cross water safety training courses for lifeguards and
instructors are available as well as courses in archaeology, the Ancient Maya, female self-
awareness and leadership.
