SLU APPLICATION FEE WILL GO UP TO $20 APRIL 3
     HAMMOND -- New students have until April 3 to apply for admission at Southeastern
Louisiana University for the summer and fall 2000 terms before a higher application fee
mandated by the University of Louisiana System goes into effect.
     Southeastern will begin implementing the $20 fee that the University of Louisiana
System has set for its nine universities on April 3. However, Stephen Soutullo, interim director
of academic services, said that Southeastern's $10 application fee will remain in effect until that
date. The fee is non-refundable. 
     Students can apply for admission to Southeastern online at www.selu.edu or in person at
the Enrollment Services Office, University Center Room 104. Applicants can also phone
1-800-222-SELU to request an application by mail. 
     Information on Southeastern's new quality admission standards, which will be
implemented in fall 2000, is also available online under the "Prospective Students" link and from
the Enrollment Services office.
