NOTARY COURSE OFFERED FEB 2-MARCH 16 AT SOUTHEASTERN
HAMMOND -- Southeastern Louisiana University's Division of Continuing Education
will offer a non-credit course presenting an analysis of the powers, duties and responsibilities of
the Louisiana Notary Public. The class will be offered Tuesdays Feb. 2- March 16, 6-8pm on the
Southeastern campus.
Instructor Douglas Curet, J.D. says the course will help prepare notarial candidates for the
examination given by the Parish Notarial Commission. The course is also designed to benefit
those in financial institutions, real estate, businesses and paralegals.
The course will cover mortgages, conveyances, leases, contracts, servitudes, oil, gas and
mineral rights, legal descriptions, promissory notes and UCC finance agreements to successions,
wills and trusts and Louisiana community property regime.
