SLU SBDC SPONSORS SEMINAR ON QUICKBOOKS PRO
     HAMMOND -- Southeastern Louisiana University's Small Business Development
Center will host an intensive, two-part workshop for beginners on "Using Quickbooks Pro 5.0 for
Small Business Bookkeeping."
     The workshop is scheduled for 5:30-9:30 p.m., Nov. 17 and 19 in Southeastern's R.
Norval Garrett College of Business Building, room 73. The $100 fee includes a take-home
manual with a reusable data disk.
     Since Windows 95 will be used during the workshop, participants must have a basic
working knowledge of computers. Training will be hands-on and one-on-one.
     Participants will learn to set up accounts, track receivables, calculate payroll, generate
reports, build customer and vendor lists, and write checks, invoices and purchase orders. The
instructor will provide practical accounting information that will help business people understand
their business' financial aspects.
     Pre-registration and pre-payment are required. Class size is limited to 15, so early
registration is recommended.
