SLU FALL REGISTRATION AUG. 19-21
     HAMMOND -- Regular registration for Southeastern Louisiana University's Fall 1997
semester is scheduled Aug. 19-21 and classes will begin on Aug. 25.  But students can pay fees
now to
avoid long lines during registration.
     Students have until Aug.15 to pay fees by telephone using Visa, Mastercard or Discover
credit
cards. After Aug. 15, fee payments must be made at the SLU University Center (Gate 8). Express
cashiers will accept cash, check and credit card fee payments at University Center ticket booths
at
Gates 1 and 3.
     All students, regardless of whether they owe fees or have a credit balance on their fee bill,
must
confirm their fees by the fee payment deadline, 6 p.m., Aug. 21. 
     Student may begin signing for loan checks on Aug. 18. To receive a loan check, students must
be registered for at least six hours and must be paying or have already paid their fees when they
pick
up their check. A picture identification will be required.
     For the first time, registering students will be offered university computer accounts giving
them access to e-mail and the Internet.
