DISTRICT 8 SCIENCE FAIR WINNERS ANNOUNCED

     HAMMOND -- Bradley Adams of Northlake Christian School took overall first place
honors for his project, "Solar Energy," at the District 8 Science Fair held at Southeastern
Louisiana University March 19.
     Chris Griggs of St. Paul's School placed second with "The Power of A" and third place
went to Ben Lowenburg of Covington High School for "Can River Pollution be Reduced by
Focusing on Point Source Pollution?"
     David Arbo of St. Scholastica Academy in Covington received the Outstanding
Secondary Science Teacher award. 
     Adams received a $500 cash prize and, along with the first, second and third place
regional winners, will advance to the state science fair at Louisiana State University.
