News release Public Information Office  SLU 10880   Hammond, LA 70402   phone: 985-549-2341   fax: 985-549-2061 publicinfo@selu.edu Spring 2004 news releases Public Information home News archive Contact: Christina Chapple Date: 10/5/04   SOUTHEASTERN SPONSORS SENIOR DAY OCT. 16       HAMMOND – High school seniors and their parents are invited to Senior Day at Southeastern on Saturday, Oct 16.        Hosted by the Office of Admissions, Senior Day will feature campus tours, a football tailgating party, and information sessions on admissions, financial aid, and scholarships.        Check in is scheduled from 1:30-2 p.m. at the War Memorial Student Union mall, along with an information fair, where students and parents can browse exhibits on Southeastern academic programs.  Presentations on admissions, financial aid, scholarships, and athletics begin at 2 p.m. in the Student Union Theatre, followed by campus tours at 3 p.m.        Senior Day will conclude with a tailgating party in the Student Union park. Students and parents are also invited to attend the Lions vs. Mercyhurst College football game at 6 p.m. in Strawberry Stadium. Tailgating begins at 4 p.m. and will feature free jambalaya.       The first 50 students to arrive at Senior Day will be given two free tickets to the game. All participants will have the opportunity during check in to purchase tickets at a discounted price.        Students can sign up to participate in Senior Day by e-mailing seniorday@selu.edu or contacting Southeastern Admissions at 985-549-5637.
