SOUTHEASTERN S DANCERS PERFORM IN SHOWCASE  98
     HAMMOND -- Southeastern Louisiana University dancers will perform in Showcase
 98, a concert of ballet, modern and ethnic works, Feb. 7-8 at  Loyola University s Roussell Hall.
      This is an opportunity for professional dancers and choreographers to come together and
show their work on a professional level,  said Dana Brewer, a member of Southeastern's
kinesiology and health students department and artistic director of  Izzy Moving Dance
Company.
     Brewer and Izzy Moving Dance Company will perform a modern piece entitled,  Within
Reach.   The piece is about  friendship, needing friendship and love as well,  said Brewer.   It s
about needing other people and the joy of knowing someone is there for you...It s an uplifting
piece."
     Brewer will perform in the piece along with Southeastern students Jeanne Labourdette,
Lillian Gray, Lesley Kernan and Nicole Fassbender.
     Lillian Gray, a nursing student, will also perform  a modern solo piece entitled,  Despite
My Cynicism I Became Sentimental.   She said the piece is about remembering love in the past.
     Showcase  98 begins at 8 p.m. on Feb. 7 and at 3 p.m. on Feb. 8.  A donation of $5 will
