SENIORS, GIFTED & TALENTED STUDENTS EXHIBIT WORKS AT SLU
HAMMOND -- Exhibitions by senior visual arts majors and by students in St. Tammany
Parish's Talented Arts Program will be on display April 26-May 12 at Southeastern Louisiana
University.
The annual Seniors Exhibition, featuring works by 14 Southeastern visual arts seniors,
will open with a reception from 4-6 p.m. in Clark Hall Gallery, gallery director Don Marshall
said. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays.
The exhibit will include works by Gerald Ancar, Deridre Caruthers, Virginia Cazedessus,
Jennifer Loyd, Adrienne Mitchell, and Ryan Tompkins, all of Hammond; Lee Foster, Amite;
Dougals Barlow and Matt Kenyon, Baton Rouge; Sarah Valentine, Greenwell Springs; Angela
James Davis, Lacombe; Judy Pritchard, Bogalusa; Clint Robinson, Slidell; and Theresa Weisheit,
Mandeville.
Southeastern's Sims Memorial Library will host "Art Time Piece," an exhibit by St.
Tammany students exploring art history from cave paintings to the future. The show features
students Tchefuncte Middle School, Mandeville Middle School, Woodlake Elementary School,
Mandeville Junior High School, Salmen High School, Slidell High School, Slidell Junior High
School, Fontainebleau Junior High School, Little Oak Middle School, and Northshore High
School.
