SOUTHEASTERN SHOWCASES LACHER SCULPTURE – Southeastern Louisiana University’s Center for Contemporary Art will showcase the sculpture of Allison Lacher through July 8. The gallery is located in East Stadium and is open from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., weekdays.

PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBIT AT SOUTHEASTERN’S CCA – Southeastern Louisiana University’s Center for Contemporary Art will present the works of photographer Gérard Lange, June 17 – July 15.  Lange is pursuing his master of fine arts degree in photography at Tulane University. 



CENTER FOR CONTEMPORARY ART ANNOUNCES SUMMER GALLERY SCHEDULE
      HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University’s Center for Contemporary Art will open its summer 2004 exhibits on June 10 with the sculptures of artist Allison Lacher.  The exhibit will be on display until July 8 at the new gallery, located in East Stadium. 
      Lacher, an Indiana native, received her fine arts master’s degree from Indiana University and her bachelor’s degree from Edinboro University. Her work has been shown at the SoFA Gallery, Gallery Sovereign, Bates Galley and the Front Room Gallery.
      In 2001 and 2002, Lacher was named the Outstanding Student in Contemporary Art by the International Sculpture Center.  Her work has been featured in “Pin-Up” magazine, the “Herald Times,” “Sculpture” magazine and “The Spectator.”
      Also this summer, the Center for Contemporary Art will present the works of photographer Gérard Lange, June 17 – July 15. 
      Currently, Lange is pursuing his master of fine arts degree in photography at Tulane University.  He was an 1999 honor graduate in art and design from LaGrange College in LaGrange, Ga.    
     Lange’s work has been showcased in the Houston Center for Photography, Momus Gallery, Brownsville Art Museum and the Lamar Dodd Art Center.  He has also received international notoriety with his collections in England, where he has been featured at galleries such as the Focus on Imaging, Stoke Museum and Art Gallery, and the Woodhorn Colliery Museum.  
     Lange’s photography has been published in “Southern Living,” the “Chicago Art Journal,” “Tulane Review” and “The East Texan.”  
     Summer CCA exhibits also will include works by ceramic sculptor Jeremy Jernegan, June 24 - July 22, and painter Betsy Stirratt, July 15 - August 26.
