DANCE AUDITIONS FOR FANFARE PRODUCTION HELD AUG. 28-29
     HAMMOND  Southeastern Louisiana University s resident dance company,
Danceworks, is holding auditions for its Fanfare  98 production of Swan. Auditions will be held
Friday, August 28 from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday, August 29 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the
Kinesiology
and Health Studies building, room 153.
     Danceworks is looking for dancers ages 16 and older who are strong movers, have a
strong technique in pointe and who are able to project their voice during movement.
     The production s theme is the folklore and facts regarding the elegant, noble swan, and  
will be presented in the contemporary dance form.  Swan will be choreographed by Southeastern
students Heather Brown and Jennifer Molero of Chalmette and Lillian Gray of Slidell. The
production will be directed by Martie Fellom, Danceworks  artistic director.  The performances
will held during Fanfare, Southeastern s cultural arts festival, Tuesday, October 27, Wednesday,
October 28 and Thursday, October 29.
     All those interested in auditioning, should come dressed in leotards and convertible,
footless tights or dance pants only.
