SLU CHEFS EVENING FEATURES "TROPICAL PARADISE"
HAMMOND -- The Southeastern Louisiana University Development Foundation's
annual food festival fundraiser, Chefs Evening, will be even bigger and better than last year,
promises coordinator Theresa F. Landry.
More than three dozen of the north shore's best restaurants, wineries and breweries are
planning to serve samples of their finest cuisine at the March 7 event, scheduled again for the
University Center arena.
Landry said that moving the event to the University Center last year was a huge success.
Chefs Evening's patrons appreciated the additional seating and elbow room and the arena had
plenty of room for additional ticket sales and for more restaurants, wineries and breweries to
participate, Landry said.
The Chefs Evening committee plans to turn the University Center arena into a tropical
paradise for this year's food fest.
Tickets for Chefs Evening are $35 and are available through the Development
Foundation, 504/549-2239 or 1-800-SLU-ALUM and at the door.
