SLU SBDC OFFERS WORKPLACE REGULATIONS SEMINAR
     HAMMOND -- Workplace regulations will be the focus of an upcoming human resource
seminar sponsored by Southeastern Louisiana University's Small Business Development Center.
     The April 17 seminar will be held from 8 a.m.-noon in Room 139 of the SLU University
Center.
     The seminar will detail how small businesses can be affected by the Americans with
Disabilities Act, sexual harassment, equal employment opportunity regulations, Department of
Labor and wage and hour regulations, and health and safety regulations.
     The seminar will be presented by Glen Villalobos, a Certified Senior Professional in
Human Resource Management, and Michael Tusa Jr., an employment litigation attorney with
extensive experience in counseling employers and managers on issues related to ADA, ADEA,
Title VII, ERISA, Fair Labor Standards Act and state laws governing employment.
     The cost of the seminar is $30, $25 for each additional person from the same company.
Registration, which must be prepaid, is first come-first serve. Extensive handout materials will
be provided, as well as refreshments.
