DEBUT PERFORMANCE OF NORTHSHORE CHILDREN'S THEATRE
HAMMOND -- The Northshore Children's Theatre will present its inaugural production
of the A.A. Milne classic, "Winnie the Pooh," at Southeastern Louisiana University's Music
Recital Hall in the Pottle Music Building Auditorium. Performances will be Friday, Saturday
and Sunday Feb 18-20 and February 26-28. The Friday performances are at 7pm and the
Saturday and Sunday performances are at 3pm.
Thirty local children will perform in the production including John Bobb-Semple, a
student at the SLU Lab School, as Winnie the Pooh, Miranda Internicola, Holy Ghost, as
Piglet, Christine Keller, St. Peter as Rabbit, Sarah Battle, Martha Vinyard Elementary, as Roo,
Matthew Sims, Hammond High as Eeyore, Ashley Golden, Hammond High as Owl, and adult
actress Kim Marshall as Kanga. Jim Byrne is the director
Also cast are Kristina Kroemer and Elizabeth Salathe, Martha Vineyard Elementary;
A'kaiyah Thompson, Hammond Westside Primary; John Dohmann, Trafton Academy; Blair
McKee, Holy Ghost; Charis Bobb-Semple and Joshua Bobb-Semple, SLU Lab School;
Brittany Neal and Cameron Wilson, Hammond Westside Upper; Ashley Golden, Hammond
High School; Chelsea Alford, St. Thomas Aquinas; Katie Guilbeau Ponchatoula High; Brad
Serbert, Benjamin Thomas, Paige Guilbeau, D.C. Reeves; Austen Ledford, Nesom Middle
School; Christine Keller, St. Peter; Jared Davis, Parklane Academy; and Roxanne Pfeil and
Aaron Pfeil, Sacred Heart Home School.
The play follows the adventures of "that silly ole' bear" and his friends as they prepare for
the arrival of the "dreaded Kanga and baby Roo" who will bring with them soap, medicine and a
bathtub! to the forest.

Northshore Children's Theatre/ADD ONE
The Northshore Children's Theatre is a project of Southeastern's Cultural Resource
Management Program, and is supported by a grant from the Louisiana State Arts Council and the
Louisiana Division of the Arts, and the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge through the
Decentralized Arts Funding Program.
Tickets for the performances are available at the door and are $3 for children, $5 for
