| What is it? |
The Quiz Bowl is a question
and answer game of general knowledge and quick recall. Game questions cover
every conceivable topic, from history, literature, science, multiculturalism,
religion and geography to current events, the arts, social sciences, sports,
and popular culture. |
| Eligibility |
All Southeastern students,
faculty, staff and alumni
Teams of four players and one alternate
We can only guarantee a spot for the first
eight teams to submit registration form and fee. |
| When |
Tuesday, Oct.. 14, 2-6 p.m., Student Union ballroom
*teams will be assigned a time slot |
| Rules |
The tournament will be a double-elimination contest,
faculty vs. faculty, student vs. student teams until the final championship
game, which will feature top faculty vs. top student team to determine
the overall Quiz Bowl champion. |
| Practice |
A practice session (recommended) is scheduled
for Monday, Oct. 13, 2-4 p.m. in the Student Union ballroom. |
| Prizes |
Championship team name
engraved on plaque.
Top student and top faculty teams: $100 each
(in Development funds) and trophies
Second place teams: $50 (in Development funds) |
| Entrance fee |
$25 per team (cash or check
made to Phi Kappa Phi -- non-refundable) |
