Sandra Goodwin

Sandra Goodwin spent 25 years of her life as part of the Southeastern family. Her love for everything about Southeastern is indisputable. Her e-mail signature read "I bleed green and gold." It should have read "I AM green and gold," because she embodied the spirit and pride of this university.

Sandra Webb Goodwin, our "Sandy," made this world a better place for all who knew her. Her ability to laugh, her ability to love and her ability to make everyone around her feel special, speaks volumes for the bright light that has gone out of our lives.

In an article with The Daily Star, President Moffett relates "Any time you lose an employee it is a special tragedy. The loss of Sandra Goodwin to the Southeastern family is one that is hard to describe. Sandy was more than a member of our campus family. She was our heart and soul ... You don't replace a person like Sandy. You just try to go on as best you can." The Daily Star, Hammond, Monday, January 21, 2002

The memory of this wonderful individual will remain in our hearts for all etermity. After the tragic loss of our loved one, an athletic scholarship was established in Sandy's memory.
