The Louisiana Literature Prize
for Poetry
The 18th Annual Louisiana Literature Prize for Poetry, an award
of $400, will be given for a poem or a group of poems postmarked
by 15 April 2004. All entries will be considered for publication
in Louisiana Literature and are subject to the journal's standard
submission guidelines. For each
$12 handling fee, which earns a one-year subscription to the journal,
U.S. residents may enter one to five poems, totaling 250 lines.
Poems may be on any topic. All work must be previously unpublished,
and a name and address must appear on each poem. Send check or
money order payable to Louisiana Literature. An SASE may also
be sent if notification of receipt is desired. Manuscripts cannot
be returned, but entrants should include an SASE for contest results.
