How to become a member of LaCC
To be eligible for membership in the Louisiana Campus Compact, an institution must
- confer undergraduate degrees
- hold not-for-profit status
- be accredited by the appropriate accrediting agency (recently-established institutions not yet eligible to receive accreditation may hold membership)
- submit a letter from the President/Chancellor indicating desire to join Louisiana Campus Compact
To ensure continuous and effective functioning of the Louisiana Campus Compact, member institutions contribute annual membership fees as determined by the Executive Committee with the approval of the Presidents’ Council. Annual membership fees serve to support the following functions:
- operating costs of the Louisiana Campus Compact
- validate Chancellors’ and Presidents’ commitment to statewide collaboration and to community service and civic engagement
- provide an indication to potential funders that member institutions are substantially committed to a collective effort
Membership in the Louisiana Campus Compact automatically enrolls member institutions in the National Campus Compact. A portion of the Louisiana Campus Compact annual member fees is remitted to the National Campus Compact. The benefits of membership in the National Campus Compact may be found on the national website (http://www.compact.org/membership/benefits). |
