1. To prepare leaders in the field of communication disorders through initiating leadership development opportunities during professional preparation. 

2. To promote interest and involvement in matters of concern to the professions who serve individuals with communication disorders. 

3. To enforce a Code of Ethics and standards of practice for its members and to promote the highest possible standards of professional preparation in communication sciences and disorders. 

4. To provide pre-professional practice in professional issues through leadership opportunities and decision-making. 

5. To educate students regarding cultural and linguistic diversity.
