| Candidates
shall have demonstrated superior scholastic achievement, academic integrity, professional
leadership potential and/or marked achievement in the field of
nursing are eligible for membership.
Inductions are held yearly in the Fall.
Candidates are elected for membership in the following categories: |
| Undergraduate | Must have completed 1/2 of the nursing curriculum, have at least a 3.0 on a four-point scale, rank in top 15% of 2nd semester junior class or rank in the upper 35% of the senior class, and meet the expectation of academic integrity. Students invited for membership each fall. |
| Graduate (Masters) |
Must have completed 1/4 of the program of study and have at least a 3.5 on
a four-point scale and meet the expectation of academic integrity. Graduate Students invited for membership each fall. |
| Community Leader | Must have earned at least a baccalaureate degree, and demonstrated marked
achievement in nursing education, practice, research, administration or publication. The
majority must have degrees in nursing but exception can be made for registered nurses with
bachelor's degrees in other fields if achievement in nursing is outstanding.
Rho Zeta members may nominate a nursing community leader. or Community Nurse Leaders are encouraged to email one of the counselors below to inquire about membership in the Rho Zeta Chapter. |
Eligible undergraduate and graduate students are notified by formal invitation. Community Leaders may be sponsored for membership at anytime and formally inducted at Fall ceremonies.
