I am a senior majoring in Early Childhood Education. I am involved with a lot at school, church, and work, but mostly I love to dance. It seems like I have danced all of my life. I started dancing when I was 2 years old and have never really stopped. I danced at Images Dance Studio for 13 of those years as a student, and for the past 3 years I attend when I am at home. After graduating from Destrehan I went to Centenary College of Louisiana on a dance scholarship. I was in Escaped Images (Centenary’s Dance Company) and had my first solo. On top of being with Escaped Images for a year I have been a proud member of the River Region Ballet for the past 10 years. I was one of the original members and still dance or help backstage on every show. I made the move and transferred to Southeastern. After one quick semester of the crash course on social dancing (and renting dancing videos for even learn more) I was on my way to a new dancing high. I have been a member of the club since spring 2004.

I am a sophomore majoring in Clinical Child Psychology. I have been dancing since I was two, but not consecutive styles. I started out with ballet and tap and slowly progressed towards jazz and lyrical. I was on high school dance team all four years -- co-captain my senior year -- but I quit taking lessons my 10th grade year. When I finally arrived here at Southeastern, I started looking for something to get into. Ballroom dancing was the answer. I took a few professional lessons but soon realized that most of my fun was well spent at our SDC practices.

I am a history major studying to become a professor. I also participate in Civil War Reenactments during the fall and winter. I started dancing in the spring of 2005 and even though I never had any experience at it, it’s a lot of fun to do. Whether you do it good or not, it’s still a lot of fun.

I am a communication major and a theater minor. The performing arts are a part of me…I have been dancing for the past seven years. The first six were in Kuwait – teaching and learning – and the seventh was here at the SDC. I have learned a lot and enjoyed myself at this club and would love to see it prosper. I would one-day love to be on the silver screen next to all the big names in Hollywood…as many of you know it takes a lot…but I‘m ready!!
