Work Study

Becoming a student worker at the Southeastern Channel enables a student to become a student staff member and earn money while gaining more extensive training and experience on Southeastern Channel productions. Students may work up to 25 hours a week on a variety of channel projects for as long as the channel wishes to renew them.

Normally, students who're offered student worker positions have either proven themselves by working on channel productions via coursework or have demonstrated an advanced reel and resume from previous work prior to applying.

Students may apply for student worker positions at the channel by filling out the channel's student profile form (.pdf) and submitting the completed form to the channel's office in Room 130 of the University Center. Graduate Assistantships are open to communication, marketing or other majors on campus.

Graduate Assistantships

Graduate Assistantships at the Southeastern Channel are available for students enrolled in Southeastern's School of Graduate Studies. Past GA's include those seeking Master's Degrees in Organizational Communication, Marketing or similar disciplines. However, selection is based upon qualification and not the individual major. A graduate assistantship at the Southeastern Channel enables one to become a student staff member and pays for graduate school tuition and fees plus 20 hours of work each week.

Students may apply for graduate assistantship positions at the channel by filling out the channel's student profile form (.pdf) and submitting the completed form to the channel's office in Room 130 of the University Center.
